Realistic commute time from Mississauga or Scarborough to Downtown Toronto?

Trying to figure out housing options and wondering how the GO Transit or subway commute looks during peak hours for someone working regular office hours downtown. Any advice on which areas offer a decent balance of rent price and commute?
