Hiring Dispatcher – Accounting & Safety - Full-Time Opportunity

We are currently hiring for a Transportation Dispatcher position with responsibilities involving line-haul and city dispatch operations. The role includes freight planning, driver scheduling, customer communication, and coordination with border officials. Key Responsibilities: Plan, coordinate, and monitor inbound and outbound shipments across North America. Determine the most cost-effective routes and transportation solutions. Plan and schedule drivers, truckloads, pickups, deliveries, and routes. Monitor driver activities and provide regular trip updates to the Operations Manager. Accept load tenders and book delivery appointments. Schedule pickup dates and times according to customer requirements. Ensure effective utilization of company trucks, equipment, and other resources. Communicate freight requirements, procedures, and special instructions to drivers. Negotiate transportation rates with customers while maintaining profitable margins. Respond to customer inquiries promptly and professionally. Communicate with customers regarding shipment delays, updates, and required information. Coordinate border-crossing requirements and ensure necessary customs documentation is received and processed. Maintain effective communication with drivers, customers, operations staff, and border officials. Manage multiple shipments and priorities in a fast-paced transportation environment. Skills & Qualifications: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. High school, college, or university education. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks. Minimum 2 years of experience as a dispatcher, logistics coordinator, or transportation customer service representative is a definite asset. Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. Ability to quickly learn and operate new dispatch and transportation management software. Ability to coordinate approximately 10–15 trucks. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
