Cashier wanted – Restaurant

We are looking for a friendly, reliable, and customer-focused Cashier to join our restaurant team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, accurately processing orders and payments, and supporting smooth front-of-house operations. Key Responsibilities Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner and provide excellent customer service. Take customer orders accurately and enter them into the POS system. Process cash, debit, credit card, and other approved payment methods accurately. Handle cash, provide correct change, and issue receipts. Answer customer questions about menu items, prices, ingredients, and available options. Confirm special requests, food preferences, toppings, and order modifications. Check completed orders for accuracy before serving or handing them to customers. Prepare and organize takeout and delivery orders. Monitor and process online and third-party delivery orders as assigned. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cashier counter, dining area, and front-of-house. Restock bags, napkins, cups, cutlery, sauces, and other customer-service supplies. Follow all food safety, hygiene, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures. Communicate effectively with kitchen staff, supervisors, and other team members. Assist other restaurant staff during busy periods when required. Handle customer complaints and concerns professionally and refer serious issues to management. Follow restaurant opening, operating, and closing procedures. Report cash discrepancies, equipment issues, inventory shortages, and other concerns to the supervisor or manager. Follow all company policies, procedures, and workplace standards. Perform other reasonable duties assigned by the Restaurant Manager or Supervisor. Ideal Candidate: Friendly and professional attitude. Strong customer service and communication skills. Good attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant environment. Reliable, punctual, and a team player. Comfortable handling cash and operating a POS system. Previous cashier or restaurant experience is an asset.
