Entry-Level Graphic Designer / Print Shop Assistant – Silver Signs | Bow Island, AB

Silver Signs is a busy sign and print shop offering a wide range of printing, signage, graphic design, and installation services. We are looking for an entry-level designer who is creative, dependable, willing to learn, and comfortable taking on a variety of responsibilities. This is a hands-on position where your role will involve more than graphic design. You will have the opportunity to gain experience in customer service, printing, plotter operation, signage production, and installation work. Key Responsibilities Create and modify designs for signs, graphics, and print materials Prepare artwork for production and printing Use design and sign-production software Operate printing and cutting/plotter equipment Assist customers with basic design and print requirements Help with various shop and production tasks Assist with sign, vehicle wrap, and other graphic installations Maintain an organized and clean work area Support the team with other duties as required Requirements Entry-level graphic design experience or relevant training Basic knowledge of Xara, Flexi, or similar design software Good understanding of basic graphic design principles Creative eye and attention to detail Ability to work independently and as part of a team Good communication and customer-service skills Willingness to learn new skills and take on different responsibilities Comfortable working in a hands-on print and sign shop environment Ability to create and edit designs independently without relying on AI-generated designs What You'll Learn This position offers exposure to several areas of the sign and printing industry, including: Graphic design Digital printing Plotter and cutting equipment Sign production Vehicle wraps Installation work Customer service Print-shop operations How to Apply: You can either drop off your resume at our shop or email.
