Financial Controller Job Opportunity – Full-Time Position in Mississauga/Barrie

O.A.M. Aluminium Inc. is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join our executive leadership team. This is a permanent, full-time opportunity for a finance professional who can provide strategic financial leadership and support the continued growth of a successful Canadian manufacturing company. 📍 Location: Mississauga or Barrie, Ontario 💼 Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time 🕒 Schedule: 32 hours per week (Monday to Thursday) 💰 Salary: $75,000 – $95,000 per year 📅 Expected Start Date: August 10, 2026 About the Company O.A.M. Job Responsibilities: Financial Reporting & Accounting Oversee accounting and financial reporting operations Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements Supervise daily accounting department activities Analyze financial performance and provide recommendations to improve profitability Support cost accounting, product costing, and pricing analysis Financial Planning & Management Lead budgeting processes and monitor financial performance Prepare cash flow forecasts and financial reports Manage monthly accounting close procedures Strengthen internal controls and financial processes Handle reporting requirements for government and regulatory agencies Leadership & Business Support Lead, coach, and develop finance team members Support purchasing, supplier negotiations, and risk management initiatives Create financial dashboards, reports, and key performance indicators (KPIs) Assist with ERP implementation, R&D projects, government programs, and business improvements Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Commerce, or related field CPA designation is considered a strong asset MBA is an asset Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting and finance experience Experience in manufacturing, industrial, or raw materials environments preferred Strong knowledge of: Cost accounting Inventory management Financial planning and analysis Risk management Process improvement Experience with accounting software and ERP systems Knowledge of Acumatica ERP is an asset Skills Required: Strong leadership and team management abilities Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively High level of professionalism, integrity, and attention to detail Commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence Language Requirements: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and French How to Apply: If you are an experienced finance professional looking for a leadership opportunity with a growing Canadian manufacturing company, we encourage you to apply.
